We know you take excellent care of your hair and skin by using only top rated products that are good for your health, but what about taking care of yourself from the inside out? Here is a list of superfoods that will augment your hair care and skin care routine:

  1. Salmon – If you dream of long, lustrous hair, the essential fatty acids found in salmon are important for your hair’s overall health.
  2. Avocados – High levels of folate, vitamin B6, C, K, and E deliver essential nutrients to hair and skin. If you suffer from brittle hair, incorporate an avocado every other day in to your diet or weekly as a hair mask and you will see changes within weeks!
  3. Dark Green Veggies – Spinach, broccoli, kale, and cucumbers are some great dark green vegetables that provide maximum health benefits. Especially for people with dry skin and hair, dark green veggies are essential to stay hydrated.
  4. Beans – Kidney beans, lentils, and lima beans are great to add as a side dish to dinner entrees. These vitamin enriched beans provide hair with the necessary protein to grow long and strong.
  5. Nuts – Rich with omega-3 fatty acids, nuts are the key ingredient to shiny, silky hair. To incorporate nuts in to your diet, keep a sandwich bag full of nuts in your purse at all times for a mid-afternoon snack.
  6. Flax seed – This seed stops wrinkles in their tracks and keeps skin youthful and radiant because it is high in omega-3 fatty acids. Ground flax seed is an easy way to incorporate this seed in to your diet. Sprinkle it over cereal, put a scoop in to your morning smoothie, or include in your baking.
  7. Oysters – High in zinc, oysters regulate oil glands and hair follicles to prevent hair loss and dandruff. For the skin, oysters promote cell renewal and repair.
  8. Eggs – This super food contains vitamin B-12, biotin, and is high in protein which keeps your hair strong and vibrant. Eggs also make a great deep conditioning hair mask.
  9. Sweet Potatoes – The beta carotene in sweet potatoes delivers high-levels of vitamin A to the hair and body which encourages cell growth. Without enough vitamin A skin looks dull and flaky and hair becomes lackluster. Sweet potatoes are also packed full of vitamin C, which improves skin’s radiance and moisture levels.
  10. Tomatoes – The antioxidants found in tomatoes are great for fighting cancer and eliminating free radicals in the skin. Free radicals break down your skin and cause premature aging, dullness, and dryness.
