Step 1: Seperate hair into two sections and hold the right section in your right hand. With your left hand, select a half-inch section of hair from the outside of the section and cross it over to the inside right section.

Step 2: Repeat step 1 on the left section of hair.

Step 3: Continue steps one and two until you reach the bottom of the hair. Secure the end of the braid with an elastic or ribbon.

French Twist – This is another great on-the-go hairstyle that takes under 5 minutes. To go from the office attire to an instant holiday party chic look, keep a few bobby pins, a small can of hairspray, and a comb in your hand bag.

Step 1: Without securing hair with an elastic, gather hair into a ponytail.

Step 2: Twist the ponytail twice around.

Step 3: Tuck the ends of hair into the middle of the twist and secure with bobby pins. Gently brush over the rest of your hair to smooth fly-aways. Spritz with hairspray to ensure your look lasts throughout the evening.

Low-Side Bun – Like the french twist, this look requires only a few bobby pins and a can of hairspray. To make this look more playful, leave out a few wisps of hair around your face. Vintage brooches or bejeweled bobby pins are another great way to play up this look.
